A charity concert and event sponsored by the “Hokuriku Kenjinkai of the Netherlands“ was held in Amstelveen today.
It was a lively event with concert by Japanese musicians and sales of Japanese foods and other goods etc.
This event was a warm and wonderful event made by the cooperation of everyone from the Hokuriku Kenjinkai, volunteers, and those who participated in performances and sales.
It was nice I could participate the charity event.

On March 3rd (Sunday), Coloratura will participate in a charity event sponsored by the “Hokuriku Kenjinkai @Netherlands” and held at SAKB@Amstelveen to support victims of 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake.
The event is a fun event as there will be sales of clothes, books, table wares, handcrafted goods, Japanese food, etc., and a concert will also be held.
Coloratura offers a wide variety of Japanese-style handmade decorations and accessories made of clay, fabrics, origami, and more. We will donate a portion of the sales. I hope this helps people who are having a difficult time in Hokuriku.
I had a table to sell my handicrafts at a small local Christmas market in the square where Jumbo and several other shops and restaurants are located.
The market was smaller than I expected, there are not many tables. In one area, there were games and workshop for Christmas decorations, and kids were singing.
Today, I shared a table with other Japanese people. The other Japanese sold knitting hats, origami accessories, sumie painting and also handmade matcha sweets, Christmas cookies … etc., so we, the Japanese table, had the most items.
It was a good chance to talk to the people who sold together and good experience to be able to sell at a market in the area where I live.
This weekend, on Saturday the 16th, a Christmas market will be held at Buitenveldert, and I will sell my handicrafts again there.
Since the table will be shared with other Japanese people, the size of table I can use will be small, so I will be selling fewer items than usual., but if you are interested, please come to the market and have fun.
I found an article about the Christmas market in the local newspaper ↑, so I post it for more information.
Today I sold handmade items at the winter fair at my daughter's school like last year.
People were interested in colorful Japanese-style accessories and small miniature clay items. Many children and parents stopped to look at and purchase items.
Kids seemed happy, so it was a happy day for me too.
Bunkasai (sponsored by Jacop ) was held again this year, and Coloratura sold handmade items such as miniature clay and tsumami zaiku(Japanese fabric accessories etc.) crafts.
Many organizations and vendors gathered to share and introduce Japanese things, selling Japanese food, sweets, Japanese style goods... bazaars, calligraphy, Japanese cafe, Japanese songs performed by Japanese chorus groups (I also sang it), and also water balloons (yo-yo) fishing.. and lots more.
At Coloratura, we offer miniature clay products(mainly Japanese-style items such as rice balls and Japanese sweets), Japanese-style fabrics accessories and decorations etc. , and many people were interested and purchased the goods.
We met many new customers as well as friends and acquaintances, people who had participated in my workshops before, and we had a very fun and fulfilling day. I also was able to meet other stall holders around our table. I was happy to be able to participate in this kind of event and was able to introduce Japanese-style items.
I would like to thank everyone at Jacop who hosted Bunkasai, SAKB who provided the venue, the volunteers who helped set up, and also everyone who visited there yesterday.

The weather was nice and many people visited the market yesterday.
It seems that many Japan-related markets and events are held in the Netherlands, and especially this market seems to be very popular event with a large number of visitors.
A lot of people came to my stall and my Japanese style handmade goods were by far the most popular compare with markets I have sold before. I was very busy and so excited !
Many friends and acquaintances visited my stall, and some people I had met before also came to my stall to talk to me.
I realized that I had made friends willing to help me and so many friends and acquaintances during less than two year in the Netherlands. It made me feel so happy!
The visitors to this market were Japan lovers. There were people wearing kimono, kimono-style costumes, and cosplay.
There are so many people who love Japan and such events are being held in the Netherlands. It’s so nice for us, Japanese… makes us very happy.
It was fun to have a stall at this Japanmarkt !
Thank you to everyone… friends who helped me, Siebold House who held Japanmarkt, people who came to my stall …!
