Children who joined the miniature clay lesson last summer came back with their friends to join the lesson again. The children are in 4th grade, 2nd grade, and 1st grade.
They requested something that could be made in about 1 to 1.5 hours, and this time they chose a small case with a windmill and tulips.
Tiny windmills and tiny tulips! 🌷 Some parts were a little difficult for children but they all worked diligently.
Even though a girl is only in 1st grade, she hardly needed my help at all and quietly and skillfully made the work. Another child struggled a bit with making the tulips and when I suggested to help to make a few (out of the 6), he said he would do it himself. .. It's nice to see them concentrating and working hard.
Everyone did their best. 😊👏
It would be great if the children enjoyed the process of making and are satisfied with the finished works.

My friend asked me to hold a miniature clay workshop for her daughter's 9th birthday party, so I went for a “miniature sweets'' workshop yesterday.
We made lollipops, cookies and tarts, and ice cream that the children love.
Each child chose their favourite color for lollipop and made different colour’s. They decorated the tart however they like. Some kids put a lot of fruit on top, while others just put their favorite fruits on top.
It looks like they were having fun talking and making it with friends!
And great piece of works have completed ❣️
I would be happy if they had fun and making miniature clay sweets became a memory of her 9th birthday.

Today, the 6th grade children came to make small sweets.
The girl who participated in “wagashi” workshop with mother a few weeks ago, and girls who participated in the workshop at the Japan Festival joined again.
Everyone is interested in miniature clay and made it very well.
And they finished making it much earlier than the scheduled end time of the lesson time. wonderful !
I am glad that they enjoyed this time as well.

Children who came to the miniature clay workshop a few weeks ago wanted to make something else during the summer holiday!
And today they came to make “western sweets”.
It was a short version, which can be done in just over an hour, include ice creams, fruit tart and cookies and lollipop, and finished them on keychains or figurines.
It was a bit difficult for the little girls to roll up the lollipop candy, but they concentrated to do.
And very cute ones completed.
I hope they enjoyed today’s workshop too.
They concentrated on making that looked delicious, so they felt hungry when they finished it... and "Snack time!”
After eating a snack, they gladly took the finished work and went home.

I hold "Western sweets(3hours version)” workshop on 21 August. Please see previous post.
A mother chose "miniature clay workshop" for her daughter’s 7th birthday party.
They saw the Coloratura’s workshop at Japan Festival in Amstelveen last year and the girl wanted to do it! And her mother thought to arrange a miniature clay workshop for her birthday party.
It's wonderful that mother let her child experience what she likes and wants to do on her birthday.
It was a little difficult for children this age, but they all made it up!
After the lesson, her mother requested to celebrate with a cake, so they continued to have a birthday party with the cake that her mother brought.
Happy 7th Birthday !
I also celebrated with a small gift. Since I am doing miniature clay, something small things…
A small paper crane figurine that I fold with 2 cm square origami paper. I gave it as a present.
Everyone was cheerful, full of energy and had fun, and I had fun too.
I am happy that the birthday girl experienced the miniature clay that she wanted to try and said that it was fun.
It would be great if it became a good memory of her 7th birthday.

There are many things to make, such as small dolls, paper lanterns, rice crackers, and hishimochi.
I was a little worried that 10-year-old girls would be able to make them all by themselves, but regardless of that concern, both of them were very concentrated and worked well.
And it is completed !
A lovely smile with a cute hina doll in hand. It makes me happy too.

Today, 3 families - 3 mothers and 7 children came for the miniature clay "Western sweets" lesson.
Three girls in Year 4, three younger brothers and sister, and the youngest participant is a lovely little girl. The little girl made key ring with her mother.
Parfaits, cookies, chocolates, ice cream and lollipops,
There were a lot of detailed works, some of them were difficult for the primary school children, but they all concentrated and worked very hard ( and also enjoyed) to make each items and two and a half hours went by very quickly.
Everyone did a great job, and each piece was unique.
I am glad that they enjoyed the workshop today.
