Bunkasai (sponsored by Jacop ) was held again this year, and Coloratura sold handmade items such as miniature clay and tsumami zaiku(Japanese fabric accessories etc.) crafts.
Many organizations and vendors gathered to share and introduce Japanese things, selling Japanese food, sweets, Japanese style goods... bazaars, calligraphy, Japanese cafe, Japanese songs performed by Japanese chorus groups (I also sang it), and also water balloons (yo-yo) fishing.. and lots more.
At Coloratura, we offer miniature clay products(mainly Japanese-style items such as rice balls and Japanese sweets), Japanese-style fabrics accessories and decorations etc. , and many people were interested and purchased the goods.
We met many new customers as well as friends and acquaintances, people who had participated in my workshops before, and we had a very fun and fulfilling day. I also was able to meet other stall holders around our table. I was happy to be able to participate in this kind of event and was able to introduce Japanese-style items.
I would like to thank everyone at Jacop who hosted Bunkasai, SAKB who provided the venue, the volunteers who helped set up, and also everyone who visited there yesterday.
The Japanese Cultural Festival “BUNKA-SAI'' will be held in Amstelveen again, and Coloratura will also have a stall.
BUNKA-SAI festival will be held by JACOP (Stichting Japanese Communities Platform) at the Nemo Sabo in Amstelveen, and the first event last year was a great success with many visitors. I think this year's event will be even more exciting.

I held a one-day miniature clay workshop "Wagashi (Japanese sweets)" in Amsterdam.
Today, four people participated in the workshop.
It was the first time for everyone to participate, but all did very well ! They were all friendly and cheerful people, and we enjoyed the workshop both making and chatting.
Dango, dorayaki, daifuku, rice crackers...
A wonderful piece of works have completed. The finished products are cute and well made, aren’t they?
I'm glad that participants enjoyed the process of making it and were satisfied with the finished work.

Yesterday, I participated in SAKB open day in Amstelveen.
Since the event was co-sponsored by the art facility SAKB, and the Japanese volunteer group Jacop, there were art exhibitions, Japan-related shops and event such as Coloratura's Japanese-style handmade goods sales & miniature clay rice ball making workshop, Ikebana(flower arrangement) and Kintsugi workshops. There were also Japanese chorus performances, kimono demonstrations, sales of okonomiyaki and sushi, and so on.
This time, I am grateful to have been invited by the head of SAKB to participate. Furthermore, at the end, I received such a wonderful bouquet from him.
It wasn't an event with many visitors, but at such an event, we were able to have more conversations with customers, interact with other stallholders, and can enjoy ourselves in a relaxed and at-home atmosphere. It was a fun and fulfilling day.
Thank you to everyone who came to visit us and involved in the event.

Children who came to the miniature clay workshop a few weeks ago wanted to make something else during the summer holiday!
And today they came to make “western sweets”.
It was a short version, which can be done in just over an hour, include ice creams, fruit tart and cookies and lollipop, and finished them on keychains or figurines.
It was a bit difficult for the little girls to roll up the lollipop candy, but they concentrated to do.
And very cute ones completed.
I hope they enjoyed today’s workshop too.
They concentrated on making that looked delicious, so they felt hungry when they finished it... and "Snack time!”
After eating a snack, they gladly took the finished work and went home.
