Two children who joined a previous workshop came again, bringing along friends to join the workshop on making Western sweets.
The participants included students from 4th and 5th grade who love crafting, as well as a mother and 4-year-old sister.
Everyone was fully focused and kept saying how fun it was—they truly enjoyed the process of creating.
Today’s workshop included ice cream, tarts, chocolates, parfait, and Dutch stroopwafels and poffertjes.
While making, they complimented each other’s cute creations and admired their own work with satisfaction, saying how adorable everything looked.
They were such sweet children, and it was heartwarming to see how well they all got along.
The 4-year-old little girl also did her best—despite being so young, she carefully and skillfully made her own sweets. She did an amazing job during the full three-hour workshop.
Some of the children will be returning to Japan soon, and they said “This will be such a nice memory.” I truly believe it because a special experience that all of them will look back on one day, thinking. “Remember when we all made these together?”
I’m really happy to be able to provide such a meaningful experience.
It is the work that will be a memory of the Netherlands, including windmill, tulips and clog with tulips.
At first, participants said , “making tulips is difficult” or “the size is completely different”.., but after making a few tulips they were able to make them well.
It was a bit hard to make a lot of large, medium, and small tulips, but everyone concentrated and made them very well.
They also made cute windmills, and finally placed and pasted all the things they made and the letters they chose (they chose the colors and letters in advance, and I prepared them), and it completed!
Everyone did a great job !
I am happy to hear that they are satisfied with the finished work and that they enjoyed to make it very much.
The last photo (the photos in the photo frames) are originally in the frame(*^_^*), but if they put their favorite photo in it, will it become a treasure...?😊
☆ I hold one-day workshops from time to time. Please see below.
The Dutch lady participated in the previous "Western sweets" workshop and said that the workshop had a lot of fun and joined again.
It's a detailed work, but both of them made quickly and very well, and it was completed much shorter time.
In this Wagashi workshop, participants fold origami cranes and the Dutch lady were also very good at folding small crane using 3cm square origami paper.
She is a fan of the action game "Ryu ga Gotoku", so she brought a figurine of that character and took his pictures with Japanese sweets she made.
The size of the miniature sweets was perfect for that character, but there was a gap between the cute sweets and the character's atmosphere… it was funny, and the other participant and I also had fun to see it.
We are talking about the participant’s favorite figure, AnimeCon, about Japan, and introducing each other while making the miniature sweets. It's fun to interact each other.
I think both of them enjoyed “Wagashi” workshop today.
You can choose your favorite one from key chain, figure or magnet.
