Coloratura will hold Japanese-style
handcraft workshops again this year
at Japan Festival in Amstelveen stadshart 
on Sunday, June 25th.

I will offer the workshops of miniature clay
(Japanese food, Japanese sweets)
that were popular last year
so please join the workshops on this occasion,
and also hold workshops that you can make
key chains and boxes using Japanese-style
cloth and origami paper. 

Last year, the workshops were fully booked
and many people were unable to join.  
If you are interested, please come early. 

The Japan Festival in Amstelveen is
one of the largest Japanese events
in the Netherlands, with over 10,000 visitors.

There are also many Japanese food stalls
and stage performances.

(I am a member of the Japanese Choir “Sora",
and I will sing on the stage from 13:40 to 13:50.
Please come to stage and listen.
(During that time, I won’t be in the Coloratura
workshop stall.)

６月25日(日)にアムステルフェーンの
スタッツハルトで開催されるJapan Festival で、
今年も和風ハンドクラフトワークショップを
開催します。

昨年人気だったミニチュア粘土(和食、和菓子)の
ワークショップを再度行いますので、
この機会に是非ご参加ください。

それから、和風布や折り紙を使って
キーホルダーやボックスをご制作いただける
ワークショップも開催します。

昨年は、早めに満席になりました。

AmstelveenのJapan Festivalは、
1万人以上の来場者が訪れる
オランダ最大級の日本イベントです。

飲食店のブースやステージ公演も多数あります。

(私は、日本のコーラスグループ「コーラス空」
のメンバーで、13:40〜13:50、ステージで
歌っています。そちらもよろしければ聴きに
いらしてください。(その間は、Coloraturaの
ストールにはおりません)

ご家族、お友達同士、お誘い合わせの上、

ライデンの日本博物館シーボルトハウス主催の
ジャパンマーケットで出店しました。

今年は、シーボルトが来日してから
ちょうど200年とのこと。
それを記念して、例年より大規模(?!)
なのかどうかは、私も初めてなので
わかりませんが、お天気も良く、
多くの人が訪れ、とにかく賑わっていました。

オランダでは、日本関連のマーケットや
イベントなどが思った以上に多く
開催されているようですが、
このマーケットはその中でも来場者も多い、
人気イベントのように思います。

私のブースにも、たくさんのお客様に
お越しいただき、
これまで出店したマーケットやイベントの
中でも、私の和風ハンドメイドグッズも
群を抜いて大人気で！　大忙し。
嬉しい限りです。

友人、知人も大勢来てくれて、
以前にちょっとお会いしたことがある方達も
私のストールに来て声をかけてくださったり、
という嬉しい再会もありました。

オランダに来て2年足らずなのに、
進んで手伝ってくれる友達もいたり、
こんなに友達や知り合いもたくさんできたんだなぁ
と改めて認識し、ハッピーな気持ちになりました。

このマーケット来場者はもちろん日本好きな方々。
着物や着物風コスチューム、コスプレ姿の
人達もいました。

オランダには日本好きな方々が多く、
またこういうイベントも開催されるというのは、
ここに住む日本人にとっても、ほんとに嬉しいですね。

今回、ライデンのJapanmarktで出店できて、
楽しかったです！
手伝ってくれた友達、Japanmarktを開催してくれた
シーボルトハウス、ご来店いただいた方々…

いろんな人に、そしてオランダという素敵な環境に…
感謝‼︎ です。

The weather was nice and many people
visited the market yesterday.

It seems that many Japan-related markets
and events are held in the Netherlands,
and especially this market seems to be
very popular event with a large number of
visitors.

A lot of people came to my stall
and my Japanese style handmade goods
were by far the most popular compare with
markets I have sold before.
I was very busy and so excited !

Many friends and acquaintances visited
my stall, and some people I had met before
also came to my stall to talk to me.

I realized that I had made friends willing to
help me and so many friends and acquaintances
during less than two year in the Netherlands.
It made me feel so happy!

The visitors to this market were Japan lovers.
There were people wearing kimono,
kimono-style costumes, and cosplay.

There are so many people who love Japan
and such events are being held in the Netherlands.
It’s so nice for us, Japanese… makes us very happy.

It was fun to have a stall at this Japanmarkt !

On May 28th (Sun),
Coloratura will sell Japanese-style
handmade items at Japanmarkt,
hosted by the Japan Museum Sieboldhuis
in Leiden.

I have a range of Japanese-style handmade
small items and accessories made of clay,
as well as flower accessories using
Japanese fabrics.
There are also many items such as keyrings,
bookmarks, magnets, boxes and ornaments
for everyday use.

and Horus botanicus Leiden (close from the
entrance of Horus botanicus Leiden).

先日、立て続けに、日本関連のイベントでの出店、
ワークショップ開催が決まりました。

一つは、ライデンの日本博物館・
シーボルトハウス主催のジャパンマルクト。
5月28日(日)に出店できることになりました。

もう一つは、昨年もワークショップを
開催させていただいた、アムステルフェーンの
ジャパンフェスティバルです。

このフェスティバルは、2万人ほどの来場者が
訪れる、大規模な人気のイベントです。

6月25日(日)開催です。

I am pleased to announce that
I will be able to open a stall and
hold workshops at two Japan-related events.

One is the Japanmarkt hosted
by the Japan Museum Sieboldhuis in Leiden.
I will have a stall on Sunday, May 28.

The other is the Japan Festival in Amstelveen,
where I also held workshops last year. 

It is a large-scale and popular event
with more than 20,000 visitors.
It will be held on Sunday, June 25.

Yesterday and the day before yesterday,
Bonsai Open Day was held at
“ Lodder Bonsai bv”

and I sold my handicrafts there.

When I went there, I was surprised
to find that the scale was larger than
I expected, and there were many bonsai
from various countries.

Since it was an open day,
there were also food stalls and
various other shops. 

Sushi, curry, pork cutlet sandwiches,
Japanese sweets, Taiwanese tea..., 
Japanese-style handmade bags, sumie,  
Japanese paintings, sculptures,
ikebana display (flower arrangement),
Japanese tableware, flower pots...,
and even a medaka(fish) shop…

I was surprised to know and it makes me happy
that bonsai is so popular in the Netherlands !

I was very happy to be able to join such an event. 

The staff of Lodder Bonsai and the other sellers
were friendly, the atmosphere was great,

and I enjoyed the interaction with the people
who bought from my stall and the people
who talked to me while looking at my stall... 

and also happy to see again with lady
who had joined my workshops before…

I really had a very enjoyable time at the stall.

Thanks to the people in Lodder Bonsai
for inviting me to participate in such an event! 
It was a great experience.

昨日、一昨日は “Lodder Bonsai bv” にて、
Bonsai Open Day が開催され、
そちらで出店してきました。

行ってみると、その規模が思った以上に大きく、
いろいろな国のたくさんの盆栽があり、
ビックリました。

オープンデーということで、
盆栽以外にも食べ物や様々なお店が
出店していました。

お寿司やカレー、カツサンド、和菓子、お茶…、
和風の手作り袋や雑貨、墨絵、和風の絵や掛け軸、
彫刻、版画、金継ぎ、生花の展示、和食器、
植木鉢類…それにメダカ屋さん、
絞り染めワークショップまでありました。

ステージでは、講演やイベントもしており、
ライオンダンス(獅子舞)もやってきました。

そのストール数、来場者もとても多く…

オランダで、こんなにも盆栽が人気なのかと知り、
これもまたびっくりしました。

Lodder Bonsai のスタッフの方も、
他の販売者の方もフレンドリーで、
とても雰囲気が良く、
また私のストールで購入してくださった方、
見ながら声をかけてくださった方…との
やりとりも楽しく… 、

以前に私のワークショップにお越しいただいた
方との嬉しい再会もあったり、

とても楽しく出店することができました。

オランダで、こんなにも盆栽が人気で、
このようなイベントがあるというのは
嬉しいですね。

今日の放課後、ウィンターフェアが
開催されました。
生徒や親達が手作りスイーツや様々なものを
販売し、賑わいました。

私もミニチュア粘土や和風布を使って
作った飾りやアクセサリーを販売し、
嬉しいことに、子供達にも大人気でした。

今日のために作ったクリスマスのアイテム、
オランダの風車&チューリップも、和風のものも、
子供達、お母様方、お父様方…
多くの方が興味津々な様子で見てくださり、
たくさんの子供達が買っていってくれました。

今回は学校関係者しかお越しいただけなかったのは
残念でしたが、喜んでいただけて嬉しい限りです。

The Winter Market was held after school today.

Students and parents sold handmade sweets
and various things, and it was lively event.

I also sold decorations and accessories
made of clay and Japanese fabric,
and to my joy, my handmade works
were popular among the children.

Children and their mothers and fathers
looked at my handmade goods with
great interest.
What I prepared for this market such as
“Christmas items”, “windmill and tulips”
and also Japanstyle items were popular.
Many children bought them.

It was a pity that only people from this school
could come to this event,
but I am happy many people were interested
in my goods and I had such a fun day.

3年ぶりに開催されたアムステルフェーンの
ジャパンフェスティバル、相当の人出があり、
大盛況でした。

Coloraturaはワークショップ枠で出展。
ミニチュア粘土2種と他のものとで
4種のワークショップを行いました。

お陰様で、こちらも人気で、
折り紙鶴のしおりワークショップ以外は、
全て満席に。

他にもご参加希望してくださった方、
興味を持ってくださった方が
大勢いらっしゃいました。

Coloratura held workshops at Japan Festival
in Stadsplein, Amstelveen.

I held 4 kinds of workshops
(2 kinds of miniature clay and others).

Except for the origami crane bookmark
workshop, everything was full.  
There were many other people
who wanted to participate
and were interested in it.

It was a lot of fun to interact with
the people who participated
and those who came to see and talk to us.
It was a meaningful and enjoyable time.  

I am glad that the participants enjoyed 
the workshop.
