※I announced that I will start trial lessons around the end of September, but it will take a bit more, Please wait for a moment. I plan to start it in early to mid-October.
I put flyers in the event jointly held by Amstelveen's art facility SAKB and the Japanese organization JACOP. (See also my “miniature clay” Instagram : handcraft_coloratura . At the event, there are many stalls selling Japanese food, handmade goods, yoyo, etc.,
Kimono and calligraphy demonstrations, origami workshops etc..were held. (recently I joined a volunteer group called JWC and taught how to fold Origami at the event.) While doing the origami workshop, local groups were sketching Japanese women wearing Kimono and demonstrating Aikido.
It was an event that connected Japan and the Netherlands, and it was quite interesting.
It's great to be able to introduce and get to know Japan through such an event.
I will offer miniature clay lessons in English. If you are Interested in it, come and join !
My name is Naoko and I run "Coloratura - Miniature Clay & Japanese Handicrafts", in Amsterdam, and holding workshops and selling handmade goods.
Coloratura offers one-day miniature clay workshops and other handcraft workshops such as Tsumamizaiki(making flower accessories or decorations using Japanese fabrics)..etc.
I started to learn miniature clay while living in Hong Kong, and I have been involved in miniature clay for over 10 years.
I have completed the instructor certification course of the "Miniature Clay Craft" Association in Japan.
I have the skills to create detailed works making them look just like the real thing, use different types of clay depending on what I make.
After obtaining the instructor certification, I started to teach because I wanted to convey the joy of miniature clay. I am very happy to make people more enjoyable and fulfilling.
I also sell handmade miniature clay goods and Japanese style goods such as accessories or ornaments made of Japanese fabrics or Origami papers ..etc.at Sunday markets, Japanese events…
I hope that both Japanese and local people can enjoy my workshops,
and I would like many people to know and enjoy Japanese-style handmade goods.
I will be happy to continue my activities in a wide range of fields and meet more and more people throughout this activities.

Personally, I would like to introduce a little about myself.
Before coming to the Netherlands in 2021, I have lived in Hong Kong for 10 years, and before that I have also lived in Australia and Korea.
Since I became an adult, I have been living abroad much longer than in Japan.
《Here is my personal Instagram where I write about my life in the Netherlands and travelogue, which I started when I was in Hong Kong.》

I like new and interesting things. I want to meet a lot of people, do various things and broaden my horizons...
l like making handmade things, traveling, classical music(both listening and playing), eating delicious food...
Since coming to the Netherlands, I wanted to live a fulfilling life outside of work.
I joined "JWC (Japan women's club)", the Japan-Netherlands exchange volunteer organization (JWC is the one that donated 400 cherry trees to Bloesem park in Amsteldamse Bos in 2000), and I also a member of the Japanese chorus group “Sora” in Amstelveen.
I am energetically involved in various activities on a daily basis.
There are so many things I want to do!
I want to be always positive, cheerful, and fun,
I want to challenge myself in many different ways,
I would be happy if I could spend a day different from yesterday~
I am living here, in the Netherlands, with these thoughts in my mind.
